Harry Potter Mania!

On Saturday night they released the 7th and final Harry Potter book. There were big parties everywhere and we decided to crash one and see what the fuss was all about. We figured it was the last one they would ever have. It was fun! The bookstore was packed and we saw a lot of people we know. The Westfalls and Haslams met us there, only they were dressed in Hogwarts robes and had their books on pre-order. We got sorted into houses and received glow-in-the dark H.P. glasses. It got so crazy they kicked everyone out at 11:30 and we went home. But we figured we were part of a little piece of history:).

Tri # 2 !

Chris did his 2nd Triathalon last weekend. It was the Camp Pendleton Triathalon where he competed as a civilian with some pretty buff Marines. He did awesome!! His performance improved over the last race despite a horrible bum cramp that he got on the bike and lasted until half of the run . Then he was able to kick it into gear and pass some of his training buds. Whoooo!!
We're proud of you Daddy!

The kids and I had fun hanging out on a real Marine Corps base with stuff you don't see everyday like this little diddy. We also saw military police in fatigues carrying some pretty impressive weapons. Let's just say the kids have never behaved better;). It was a fun day.
