Charlotte is Two Months!

Our little miss is now 2 months old! It's going by way too fast. I'm already morning her newborn-ness. But of course it's fun to see her growing and responding.

She had a doctor appointment yesterday and she is 23 1/2 inches and 10 lbs!

We all just love her to pieces. We are so excited because Daddy is coming home this weekend! And we get a bonus of having Grandma & Grandpa Roberts visit this weekend as well for Charlotte's blessing on Sunday. Yay!

The kids love to make her smile and love talking with her. Her little coos and oohs are just so fun to hear. She still has tummy troubles but is spitting up less. She is a bit more sensitive than I remember my other girls being. And she loves being held and snuggled. It will be so interesting to see what her personality will be like.

Man, I love this baby! Can't wait to show her off to Daddy.

Our Valentine Weekend Escape

The kids had Friday and Monday off for President's Day so we decided to head up to St. George for the weekend (all four kids all day long for all four days, scared me:). I'm so glad my parents and brothers have moved back to St. George because it really does feel like going home for me and I love being there.

Maggie helped Maki out in the kitchen a lot. She is my little homemaker.

Charlotte on Valentines Day

We had such a good time hanging out with Matt & Jenny and Jenny's kids, Scout & Gage.

On Valentine's Day I have the tradition of having a Valentine's breakfast. So we brought the tradition to Papa & Maki's and had everyone over to eat.

Scout & Sophie became inseparable over the weekend and Sophie ended up staying the night at their house twice! They could be sisters, it's so cute.

Gage & Sam also had a lot of fun together. Even though there is a big age difference, they are a lot alike. Check out how cute they are in their matching pajamas that they both got for Christmas! Two string beans, even in horizontal stripes! Sam borrowed Chris's old glasses so they could really look alike.

Finally got a picture of one her smiles. She smiles so big her eyes disappear!

On Monday we took the kids to Pirate Island Pizza for lunch. It's a new theme restaurant. They have Chuck E. Cheese like games where you can win pirate booty. The kids had a great time.

My Maggie Valentine

The kids had a fun Valentine's Day at school. The girls took in their boxes and cute treats for their friends. It made me a bit sad that those days are over for Sam, but I know he didn't mind:).
I told Maggie I wanted to take some photos of her in her Valentine's outfit and she got so into it! She made up all of these poses on her own, it was so cute.

6 Week Update

I can't believe it's been 6 weeks since little Charlotte was born. At the same time it feels like 6 years! It's one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time. But we are pulling through. This was my first week without any help (mom had to go home sometime). It's challenging to be able to be up at 6:45 for Sophie, especially when you just get to sleep at 5:30 after a 3:30 feeding. And getting the kids fed and in bed at night is not an easy chore either. But again, one day at a time. And it's all so worth it!
Little miss Charlotte has hit 6 weeks which means the teenage acne has hit too. What's up with that anyway? She also has a receding hairline, though she's not losing anything off the back. So I'm not posting too many picts as it totally grosses the kids out. I suppose it's a face only a mother can love, but I totally do!

I have yet to capture on camera, but Charlotte gives us the cutest little smiles. She's starting to spend more time awake which the kids just love. They hate it when she's sleeping and still fight over who gets to hold her.
Sleeping in her "papasan" chair.

Charlotte has reflux and it pretty spitty uppy so I got her this chair to sleep in that keeps her upright. She was also put on Zantac, which I don't like because I hate for her to already be on medication. But it is helping a lot with her fussiness and spit-ups. She seems to be happier and sleeps better, so I guess it's a good thing.

We are still waiting to see on Chris's job. This has been so hard on him too. Being away from family and new baby, it's lonely out there! He really wants us out there with him and feels like that's where we should ultimately be. So we are holding on to see when that can happen. Things seem to change daily and here we go again, we take it one day at a time.
In the meantime we are grateful for all the love, support, and prayers we are getting from everyone and we realize that are so many others that have it much worse than we do. So we really can't complain.

One Month Old!

I can't believe a month has already gone by! Charlotte is such a little joy. I am just trying to treasure every little moment. Even the sleepless ones in the middle of the night. They just grow up way to fast! She is starting to smile now and the kids just love her to death.

C is for Charlotte

My first little photo session with Charlotte. She was eight days old and stayed fast asleep the whole time.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I know it's long gone, but I still wanted to say that despite all the ups and downs we had a great holiday this year. Actually I felt very blessed because Chris was home for most of the month of December! It was so nice to have him all day everyday. And even though the only real holiday decorations we had were the tree, it was okay, I survived. We had a nice, simple Christmas Eve dinner with my mom and dad.And even though with presents and baby we had little or no sleep, Christmas was a fun day that included a long nap:).

Sophie found the pickle ornament and got the prize!

Christmas Eve jammies, I love stripes:).

Happy New Year!!!!

Unfortunately we kicked off the new year by saying goodbye to Chris again. He had to be back to work again and we found out that the family would not be able to come out yet. So we are kind of in limbo right now. But we still had fun bringing in the new year. We celebrated the countdown with CNN at 9:00.

My mom had gotten hats, blowers, soundmakers, and Martinelli's for the celebration. The girls were way into it, so excited and hyper! Sam really wasn't in the mood and didn't want to be photographed.
